09-11 September
17-th Montreal Ukrainian Festival
Organized by the St. Volodymyr Cultural Association of Montreal, the Festival aims to promote Ukrainian heritage and culture to the Montreal community and to increase awareness of the contribution of Ukrainian-Canadians to Canadian society in Quebec.
Visitors who attend the Festival have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with Ukrainian traditions of folk crafts, music, dance, art and cuisine.
Over the years, the Festival has expanded in duration, performances and number of visitors. From its humble beginnings with 600 visitors and 1 day event in the year 2000 to over 18 000 spectators and the 3 day agenda over the past few years, the Montreal Ukrainian Festival attracts visitors from all over the province of Quebec, Ontario and North East of the United States.
