VOLYA Spring Awakening

    Volya! Ukrainian Dance Ensemble is hosting their 9th Annual Spring Gala, Spring Awakening on Saturday, May 14th, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.

    Volya Ukrainian Dance Ensemble is an Edmonton based dance company dedicated to contributing to the social and cultural growth of Ukrainian Heritage in Edmonton. For 27 years, Volya has enthralled not only local audiences but also performs on a national and international platform. Volya combines the highest standards of technical excellence with intricate footwork and the authentic artistry that are the hallmarks of Ukrainian Dance.

   The program for the evening includes a sit-down dinner, performances by Volya and Volya School, a silent auction, and a dance and late lunch to follow. The funds raised from the silent auction will go towards initiatives such as orchestrating new music and designing new costumes to help further enhance Volya's professional commitment to Ukrainian dance.

Kaleidoscope of Ukrainian Dance

    Syzokryli Ukrainian Dance Ensemble from New York City and Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Company of Edmonton, present "Kaleidoscope of Ukrainian Dance." Over 70 dancers join forces to showcase their diverse styles and unique interpretations of traditional Ukrainian folk dance. The dancers' strength, acrobatics, beauty and grace create an amazing kaleidoscope of color, movement and energy sure to delight the audience. Hot on the heels of performances in Philladelphia and New York City, don't miss Cheremosh & Syzokryli in Edmonton and Saskatoon this Summer!
